Plans and programs don’t develop people,
only experiences develop people.
Executive coaching should prepare you to face challenges. The difference between coaching with me, Dana Mayer, and other coaching is readiness, not rhetoric. Coaching with me or any PolyD coach simply makes you more powerful.
Ready not Rhetoric. With us, you don’t just get a cheerleader. You get hands-on leadership developmental experiences, connections to sponsors and prospects, as well as a confidential venue to explore scenarios and to test potential solutions to problems.
Programs and cheerleaders are good and often necessary. But most diversity and leadership programs fail. Real success takes experiences of power, especially given the challenges you’re up against in this economy.
My team and I have used our methodologies and tools with businesses, court systems, law firms, and nonprofits in the U.S., EU, Brazil, Japan, China, and Australia at AT&T, Deloitte & Touche, DuPont, Citi Bank, JP Morgan, Toyota, and Sony, among others.
Can you benefit from executive coaching? We can help if you are:
- In transition and want powerful on boarding from one job to another, from one domain to another, or assuming increased or changes in responsibilities
- Faced with difficult personalities such as a tough boss or under-performing staff and want to understand how to diffuse the stress and not let it get under your skin
- Developing business in law or consulting firms and want to grow your practice without working harder
See how coaching can benefit you, a next generation leader on your team, an under-performing staff member, or your entire executive team. Request a lightening strategy session. No charge for a 15 minute intensive. No kidding!
We provide coaching, training and consulting by phone and in person. We also develop and facilitate experiential workshops, social exchange networks, and succession planning and development.
Individual Executive Coaching. The result of most coaching is an action focus that drives business performance–most often leadership transition, business development, and optimized C-suite teams. Sessions are private and confidential, generally conducted by TelePresence, Skype, or teleconference. Pricing is based on monthly or annual flat fees, not hourly charges.
Even a gifted athlete needs a coach. They know winning a race depends on more than ability. Recent studies show high performing, C-suite executives and managing partners have one thing in common, they have an advisor with whom they discuss business challenges three or more times a week. This might be an informal or formal relationship with one or more people such as a spouse, former colleague, friend, or executive coach. The respondents reported they may speak with this advisor as frequently as once a day.
Whether you are transitioning to a new role or ready to make changes, you are likely to be vulnerable without a strong network behind you. I am here to help you. From planning projects, developing strategy, speeches, books, and programs, to changing jobs, I am your advocate for:
- Developing quality, reciprocal networks to extend your effectiveness
- Brainstorming high-performance solutions for difficult situations and personalities
- Helping you prioritize and stay focused on your goals
- Being an objective sounding board

PolyDimensional Executive Coaching has four phases:
1. The PolyD coaching process begins with defining the Scope of Work: defining roles, goals, expectations, and issues with all participants. This may include the client, the client’s supervisor, key senior leadership or staff, and if required, HR. Outcomes are documented and provided to the client by the consulting team.
2. The second phase is Assessment: to gather data on client behaviors and assess its impact on variables such as business, leadership styles, and communication. Self-assessment is most effective in allowing individuals to see themselves as others see them enabling the individual to manage business relationships more successfully. The executive coach’s skill and sensitivity in delivering feedback to the client is a critical component at this point. A variety of instruments may be used, either based on client preference or our suggestions, including personality typing tools such as MBTI, DiSC, Lominger, or Kolbe, and a variety of stress indicator instruments.
3. The third phase is to design an Action Plan with the client. This plan will be implemented during the course of private and group sessions to fine-tune skills and enhance powerful leadership behavior. The latest neuroscience and business simulations are applied throughout this process to maximize the individual’s performance and minimize personal reactivity and stress.
4. The fourth phase is Evaluation of the contribution the coaching assignment has made in the client in achieving Phase One objectives. This becomes the blueprint for further development of the individual
